Challenge
A client brought us a 1950s Omega Seamaster that had been stored in a safety deposit box for over thirty years. The watch was completely stopped, and the movement was filled with dried, hardened lubricant. The dial showed signs of aging but retained its original finish.
Solution
We performed our Estate Watch Revival service, carefully disassembling the movement and cleaning each component in multiple ultrasonic baths. The dial was stabilized without refinishing to preserve its natural patina. Period-correct gaskets were sourced and installed. We consulted with the client throughout the process.
Results
The movement was restored to proper function with timing within +/- 5 seconds per day. The watch maintained its original character and patina. The client received detailed before-and-after documentation showing the careful preservation work. Service completed in seven weeks with a one-year warranty.
Challenge
A dive watch enthusiast noticed condensation appearing inside the crystal of his Rolex Submariner after swimming. The watch had recently undergone battery service elsewhere, and the seals had likely not been properly replaced or tested afterward.
Solution
Our Water Resistance Restoration service addressed all seals: case-back gasket, crown gasket, crystal gasket, and pusher seals. We used manufacturer-specification components. The case was tested using both dry air pressure and wet vacuum methods to verify resistance to the rated 300-meter depth.
Results
Water resistance fully restored and verified through dual testing methods. Minor corrosion from previous moisture exposure was addressed. The watch passed pressure testing at the rated depth. Service completed in six business days. Client now confidently wears the watch for diving activities.
